ClerkDirect separates the editable document body from the Word Page Layout used at export. This keeps documents editable in Leto while preserving Word-native page features.
When minutes are generated
ClerkDirect records the exact custom template and Word Page Layout revision used for the meeting. That assignment remains with the minutes as they are edited, regenerated, exported, and reopened later.
Changing workspace defaults
• Assigning a different Minutes Template affects future minutes generation.
• Replacing a template's Word Page Layout creates a new revision for future minutes.
• Editing the minutes in Leto does not change their template or Page Layout assignment.
• Exporting an older meeting does not use whichever template happens to be selected today.
Why this matters
Historical minutes export consistently even if the organization later changes its branding, margins, page-number format, or preferred template. A clerk can update future documents without silently restyling the official record for earlier meetings.
Existing or legacy minutes
If older minutes have a stored template but predate Page Layout revision pinning, ClerkDirect uses the current Page Layout attached to that stored template. It does not use a different template that is currently selected in workspace settings.
To use a new layout for future meetings, open Organization, select Templates, open the custom template, and choose Replace Word layout.
